CHUG’s Soul Train made its first appearance on Aug. 28, 2006, in
Wolfforth, Texas. The Soul Train is made from CitiBus "2027."  We
kept that number because Proverbs 20:27 says "The lamp of the Lord
searches the spirit of a man, it searches out his inmost being."
Chug wants his Soul Train to search out the hearts of all who attend
and shine that Light of the Lord upon them.

Our cast includes Melvin, the Conductor, who’s been with us for a
long time and reads his Bible daily. Chug, the Engineer, like us
all, needs guidance from both the Conductor of our train, and God,
the Conductor of our life. The Brake Man of our train is Squeaker,
Chug’s adopted little brother. We found him in the West Virginia
coal mines. Caboose, who is our lost puppet, was found in the
Colorado Rockies. He was on a dead end track, lying, cheating and
stealing, and we convinced him to turn away from sin, join us on our
train and hopefully get saved one day.

We have a work crew that keeps our train maintained and uplifted.
They’re called the "Prayonettes." How do they do that? Only one way - by prayer!

We also have a missionary that rides on our train whenever he’s not
on a mission. He goes by the name of Schieck. He’s a world traveler
who loves to spread the word. We travel all over West Texas and do 30 to 90 minute shows. We can  do games, music, crafts and we love to preach God’s Word. We just love the Lord and want to be His servant.

You can contact CHUG’s Soul Train at 806.790.4492 and ask for Terry.

Thank you and God Bless!

Puppet Introductions

Prayonettes -
They are our work crew, keeping our train maintained, running smoothly and always uplifted---you know how—constant prayer! That’s the smartest work we can do and thank goodness they do it! Their prayers are what keeps us running so smooth—it’s all about the prayer!

Caboose - He’s our lost puppet. We were heading up north last year in the Colorado Rockies and found Caboose heading down the wrong track. He was going down a dead end track — a track of sin. He was lying, cheating, stealing—up to no good!  Well, we all convinced him to join us on our track and hopefully one day he will accept the Lord as his Savior. Y’all help us pray for Caboose!

Squeaker - He’s our brakeman. He’s actually Chug’s adopted little brother. We found him at an old coal mine in West Virginia several years ago. He was a lost soul and had no where to go. We stopped for a little prayer maintenance, when he and Chug hit it off! They became best friends and Chug invited him to join our crew. Chug shared the Gospel with Squeaker and he got saved. A short time later Chug decided to adopt Squeaker as his little brother.  He’s a young Christian and, like us all, trying to stay on the right track.

Melvin - Melvin is our conductor. He’s sort of like a prophet sent to help lead, guide and direct us. He helps keep us and our train on track. Melvin has been with us a long time and he always seems to know the right thing to say. He always cares about us and knows God’s Word. He’s constantly reading the Bible. What an AWESOME DUDE!

CHUG - Chug is our engineer. Chug was one of the first R.A. boys I taught 15 years ago at First Baptist in Shallowater. CHUG was saved his first year in R.A.’s at a campout in Meadow Texas. Chug was a neat little guy but had no ambition in life—never had any goals and wasn’t going to go to college. We talked a lot about his life and his future and I told him he needed to pray about that. During his senior year in school, Chug was praying to God about his future and  God told him to go to college and do something with his life. So he did. After college he became a train engineer and eventually bought the Soul Train. Now he just travels around spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ and he wants you to come to know Jesus as well!

Duncan - Several years ago at R.A. Camp in Floydada, we had a dunking  booth. It was Chug’s turn to be setting in the booth and this big ole  bird kept diving down knocking Chug into the water. The camp loved it  and Chug hated it. We're not real sure what kind of bird he is but Terry has adopted him as a mascot for the Soul Train. Duncan loves it and Chug hates it.
